Hi I'm Sterling

I am a high school age student who lives in Oklahoma and i love music and and I`m Mormon and love it!

About Me

Hi just a little bit about me I am in high school and I participate in Cross Country, Marching and Concert Band and love it. I also enjoy biking, running, hiking and most things outdoors! I realize how this church has made me a good person, I know my friends and teachers see the light that Christ has brought into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because I had the privilege of being born into a LDS family but because I know that its right! Being a Mormon helps me improve and be more faithful and humble. It encourages me to have a higher standard of living because there are others that have the same problems I do, and you make friends fast because you hold so much in common. It mainly boils down to the fact that I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and I know that prayers are heard and I have seen it! I also have the desire to be better every day and this really helps and I know that families are forever and I always want to be with mine!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being kind to others and serving them in simple ways like opening a door. I also use clean language which creates a better social environment for those that I associate with. All of this helps me to better my friends and myself. I am also an Eagle Scout and love to help others.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Sterling
A testimony is a personal witness from the Holy Ghost of the truths we believe in. For example God is our loving Heavenly Father and he hears our prayers. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and suffered for our sins through the Atonement so we can return to live with God again. Joseph Smith through the gift and power of God restored his church to the east today and that we are led by living prophets and apostles today. Show more Show less
