Hi I'm Becky Smith

I'm a Southern girl that grew up in Alabama. I have eight sisters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom of four children. I have a bachelors degree in Spanish and another in Accounting. I love ice cream, volleyball, Hot Tamales, roast beef and Sour Patch Kids. I love to fly on airplanes. I also like to travel as long as I don't stay gone too long.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I found out for myself that it's true! I grew up going to this church because my parents were members and very active. However, I had to find out for myself if it was true during my teenage years. I started to question many doctrines and wanted to know for myself. I never had a vision or saw an angel, but I felt in my heart that the things being taught were true. My testimony came gradually with each passing Sunday that I felt good about what I had heard. By the time I graduated from high school, I knew it was true for myself and wanted to live the gospel to be more like my Savior. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He is our Savior. I know that we have a Father in Heaven that knows us each by name and loves us unconditionally. I am so grateful for that knowledge that gives me comfort whenever life gets difficult. I know that Joseph Smith really was a prophet, called of God, to restore His Church here again. I know there is a living prophet today, Thomas Monson, that teaches us what our Heavenly Father wants us to know. The Book of Mormon is a true witness of Jesus Christ. I have felt its power as I have studied it and prayed to understand it. What a wonderful blessing it is for me to know these things for myself! What joy they bring me!

How I live my faith

I love going to church on Sundays. I am a teacher for the women. I also visit several amazing women each month to check up on them, see how they are and share a brief message to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ. My oldest son is a Wolf in Cub Scouts, so I also help with his pack.
