Hi I'm Meg Daniels

I'm a sister. I'm a college student. I love Ohio State football, frozen grapes, and tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite thing in the world is my family: I have an older brother, two younger sisters, and two younger brothers; all kept in balance by my wonderful father and mother. I attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and am planning on applying to the Communication Disorders undergraduate program, eventually hoping to graduate and earn my Master's in Speech Pathology. I have worked as a tennis instructor, office clerical assistant, and frozen yogurt shop employee. Despite living in Michigan most of my life, I am a huge Ohio State football enthusiast. I also love playing games; whether it's a sport, board game or card game. I am a sucker for puzzles, raspberries, landscapes, music, and art as well. I really just like looking for beauty in the world. God's creations are breath-taking and inspiring, and I hope to travel as long as I live. Disney movies are among my favorite forms of entertainment-- along with the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars sagas. Life is good. I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been called to invite others to come unto Christ through faith in Him and His atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end, which will be my purpose for the next 17 months of my life. I LOVE being a missionary because I love sharing the goodness of God with those who do not recognize it. I love teaching others to feel His love more and how they can feel it forever

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know this Gospel is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, restored in its fulness upon the earth, and I know that it is true. I know He is my Savior and that He loves us so much that He sacrificed His entire life to prepare the way for me, and everyone else, to return to live with our Father in Heaven one day. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that it includes the word of God, along with the history of a fallen people-- all of which is true. I know that through the prophet, Joseph Smith, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ restored the fulness of the Gospel. I know all of this to be true because I have sincerely prayed to God to have a personal witness whether or not these things are correct. I felt His Spirit fill my soul and testify to me the truth of these things. I continue in this Gospel because I know that Jesus Christ is the only way to return to live with God. I know that through this Church the power of God has been restored and we can be sealed to our families for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith every day through doing my best to do what Christ would do. Christ was the perfect example, and I try to emulate His character by loving the people I meet. I live my faith as I try to come closer to Him through prayer, studying the scriptures, attending church, and serving others. I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in Kobe, Japan. Previously I have taught young women, cub scouts, Sunday school with children ages 3-7, and have organized events for the teenagers in the Church. Working with the children is one of my favorite things to do because they are so fun and pure, and are always smiling. When I teach them we focus on the very basics of the Gospel of Jesus Christ-- faith in Him and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. It's beautiful to realize that the Gospel is so simple for a child to understand, but our understanding can deepen as we study the scriptures, stay close to Christ, obey the prophets, and apply the doctrines we learn into our lives.
