Hi I'm Christian

I'm from Michigan. I'm serving a mission in Germany.

About Me

I grew up in a rural area of Michigan where agriculture and manufacturing drive the local economy. I'm very proud of my Tongan heritage, my father's family made great sacrifices to immigrate to the U.S. As the oldest child, I've had the privilege to set an example for my younger siblings. Throughout high school I was a Boy Scout, ran cross country and track, and competed in DECA. Prior to my mission, I studied at Brigham Young University for a year, where I am a Pre-Management student. I am serving in the Germany Frankfurt mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an area where there weren't many members of the LDS church. Through the years I had to learn for myself that this is the true church. The truth of the restored gospel has brought peace and comfort into my life in my hardest trials. I have prayed for and received my own spiritual witness that the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that our loving Heavenly Father has blessed us to have a prophet in our day, Thomas S. Monson. I know that we are God's children, and He answers prayers.

How I live my faith

Recently I have served in the Sunday School leadership of my student ward. I helped train teachers to lead gospel discussions that would instruct and strengthen the members of our ward. Each week I attend the temple, where we can make sacred covenants with Heavenly Father for ourselves and in behalf of our ancestors who never had the opportunity to have the gospel in this life. I am serving a mission in Germany, where I'll have the blessing to be able to share the gospel message with others, and bring with it the hope that comes from a testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Missionaries each know the joy and strength that comes with living the gospel. We want others to experience the power of the Atonement in their lives, and to experience the same happiness and blessings we have. So we serve missions, where we can dedicate our entire lives for 18-24 months to sharing the gospel with people from all backgrounds. Show more Show less
