Hi I'm Bronwyn

I am a Theatre Major. I am a Missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah, but I am currently serving a mission in Arkansas. I am the oldest child in my family as well as the oldest grandchild on my dad's side. I am a major book nerd, music lover, theatre participant and a huge geek. I love debating with my father, hanging out with my siblings and just chatting with my mother.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been a part of the Mormon Church for generations. I continue to follow because, it all just makes sense. Because of this Gospel, I know where, I came from, why I'm here, where I'm going and how I can return to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that this church is true. I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is led by a living prophet today who receives revelation and guidance from our Heavenly Father about our day. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He lives! He knows us, He knows our sins, He knows what we are going through, and He knows how to help. If we lean on Him, He will help us through the hard times in our life and He will rejoice with us during the good times. That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures every day and pray to my Heavenly Father. Without His support I would not make it from day to day. In Utah I served in many calling as a youth in the Young Women's Program. I served as Beehive Class President, Miamiad Class First Councilor and Laurel Class President. I am now serving a full time mission, serving the Lord and bringing His children to a knowledge of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge that they can have a forever family.

What is the First Vision?

Bronwyn
Joseph Smith, as a 14 year-old boy, was surrounded by many different religions in his hometown. He didn't know which church was the correct church. They all claimed to teach truth, but they all disagreed with each other. One night while reading the Bible, he read in James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" After reading this verse, Joseph Smith decided to try asking God. On a spring morning in 1820 Joseph went out into the woods by his house and knelt down in a grove of trees and offered up a prayer to God and asked which church was the true church. A pillar of light appeared over Joseph and God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. God called him by name and pointed to Christ saying, "This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" Christ then told Joseph that none of the churches were true. The priesthood authority and Church that Christ had set up when He was here had been lost. This is the First Vision. It marks the beginning of the Restoration of Christ's Church upon the earth today. Joseph Smith wrote about his experience and it can be found in Joseph Smith History chapter 1 verses 8-17.
