Hi I'm Jennifer B.

I've grown up in a small town in the US. I expand my world through art, music, and strong friendships. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an rising senior in a high school that contains about 400 students. I love playing soccer for my school and to have the opportunity to get to know new people. I have a love for expressing my thoughts and feelings also through art and playing the piano. I try to always keep a smile on my face. I have two other sisters who are truly fantastic! I have been born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the blessing of being raised in the Church. My testimony really started to become my own through my years in primary. I had a strong connection to the songs that we would sing during that hour of church. As years past on I would doubt myself sometimes on whether God was real and if He could truly hear me when I prayed. But when these thoughts would come to my mind I would remember my parents and how much they loved the gospel and that they knew it was true. I knew that I believed it was true and that this was probably Satan trying to get in my head. So I prayed to God and then told Satan to get out of my head. I know that Heavenly Father is watching over me always. And though I make mistakes and sometimes veer from the path with little things, I can and will always come back. I know that I wouldn't have this sure testimony if it wasn't for my Young Women leaders, Primary teachers, Bishops, and overall my parents. I know that they love me and that I am important to them and to my Heavenly Father. I know that we are all Sons and Daughters of God. I know that he loves each and every one of us even if we make mistakes. I know that Jesus Christ died for not only me but for everyone on the cross. He is always with us hoping that we will stay on the path. He suffered for our sins and we have a true record of that in the scriptures. I love the Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, Doctrine and Covenants, and Joseph Smith History. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ in the flesh and that he was a true prophet called of God. I know that Jesus is coming again and that there will be much happiness and joy when he does arrive. I know that we can bring that happiness in our homes and lives today if we choose to live the gospel and are examples of it always. I love this gospel and am very grateful for the the constant companion of the Holy Ghost and all that He helps me with. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am 17 years old. In the Church in my area, I was called to be president over all of the girls 16-18 years old. For this calling I was responsible for acting as an example, and to be a big sister for all girls 12-18, but especially for the older girls. It was my responsibility, which was more of a blessing, to help all girls, new or old, feel the love of their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ always. But what I realized was that through this calling I grew a stronger love and appreciation for the young women, my leaders, and my Father in Heaven.
