Hi I'm Elijah

I'm a missionary in California, student and a musician. I love to travel the world. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving a Korean-speaking mission in California. Before that I was a student for one year at Brigham Young University, studying Middle East Studies and Arabic language. Music is one of my biggest passions. I play piano, organ, french horn, and I also sing and write music. I also love traveling, and going on adventures, and anything outdoors (climbing, hiking, rappelling, backpacking, cycling, etc). Recently, I worked in the Middle East on an archaeological dig site in Jordan, and I absolutely loved every moment of it.

Why I am a Mormon

Through the gospel I have been able to remake my life and find incredible joy, despite the challenges I face in life. It has worked miracles in my life, and I know it's true. I know this church is true. It has been an especial blessing to know that my family can be forever, that life together doesn't end when we part. I know that God is real, that Jesus Christ lives. I know that God loves each of us and knows each of us by name. And as I follow Christ's gospel, it has and continues to bless every part of my life.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am a full-time missionary, which means I share the gospel of Jesus Christ 24/7. That is my calling, and I love it. Throughout each day, I study my scriptures, I pray, and I strive to follow my Savior. Through Christ's Atonement, I can continue to change and become more like Christ each day, and I can receive the strength and the peace I need to overcome all my trials. In addition to these things, I attend church every Sunday, I attend the temple as often as I can, and I try to serve everyone I can. Basically, I try to apply the gospel of Jesus Christ in every aspect of my life, whether it's school, or work, or family and friends, or Church. And it has blessed my life immensely.
