Hi I'm Nick Jones

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am a student at BYU. I am a missionary serving in Santa Fe, Argentina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the LDS Church. I was baptized on May 11, 2013. Since joining the church I have become a student at BYU and I plan to major in accounting. More recently I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Argentina Santa Fe mission. My parents do not live by the same faith as I do but have been very supportive throughout the years. Not only has my life been blessed because of my membership in the church, but the lives of my family have been blessed as well.

Why I am a Mormon

During my investigation of the LDS Church I have found that it is the only true church on the face of the earth. No other church that I have been to has such pure doctrine. Before my conversion I found that most non-denomiational Christian churches preach completely different doctrine. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has very straight forward beliefs and doctrines that will never change. Some of the points of doctrine may seem strange, but when you study the context it all begins to make sense. The church is completely focused on our savior Jesus Christ and the goal of members is to worship and become like Him. I have changed in numerous ways since joining the LDS Church, my life has improved in ways I never thought possible. Knowing about the Savior and of His authority that rests within the church has made my life easier, guilt becomes relief and pain becomes pleasure. I know the church is true and my goal is to share the happiness I have found with others.

How I live my faith

Since I have joined the church I have participated in numerous callings. Initially, the most surprising thing about the church is there is no payed clergy. Everyone that serves in a calling is serving because the feel it is a way to exercise their faith. I have appreciated the opportunity to fulfill my callings and be motivated to do so because of faith and not money. I have been incredibly blessed for serving faithfully and for acting on my faith. My most recent calling has been to serve as a full-time missionary in Argentina. This decision required a lot of faith in God an in the church, but I am so excited to share His message with His Children.
