Hi I'm Adam

I am from Salt Lake City, Utah. I coach long distance at a club track team.. I am half navajo. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently starting College, I am actually going to go to a community college. I am not sure what I plan on studying but I figure I will soon. I am a long distance runner and I coach distance runners on a club track team for kids. My father is Full navajo and my mother is caucasian. I sometimes ride the unicycle but I need to get back doing that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because like most utah mormons, I was born a mormon. I grew up in the church. I never had any doubts about what I was taught, but there came a point where I wanted to know for myself and live off of my own testimony and not my parents. My testimony was always there. But it was strengthened and made firm from my reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. The Holy Ghost has confirmed to me numerous times the truthfulness of the church and the beliefs and even to this day, I still pray for a witness of the spirit because I love having it continuously made it known. But it only comes after I myself put in the effort of seeking for that confirmation which meant constant church attendance, reading of the Book of Mormon and Constant prayer, even if I feel I didn't get an answer.

How I live my faith

I recently returned from missionary service for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. I served in the West indies region on the islands of Trinidad and Guyana and loved every moment of it. I loved teaching about the church and and importance of the gospel. I love teaching about the Book of Mormon and reading it. I go to church every sunday and sing Hymns, even when my family gets annoyed by it.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will teach you about Jesus Christ and Atonement. The Atonement is when he sacrificed himself for you. They will talk about how you can come closer to the Savior, how you are a child of Heavenly Father and how you can return to live with God and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ. We testify that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet to help restore Sacred truths and Priesthood Authority that were lost when Christ, His apostles and His Church were taken from this earth. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

If you ever hear the words from a wedding, the man marrying the couple usually announces ..."till death do you part." We believe that through Priesthood authority from God, a couple can stay married even after death but only through priesthood authority from God and keeping very sacred covenants. Sealing families on earth is one of gods greatest gifts he has given us. I have a family that I love and would not think heaven would be heaven if I could not retain the same family relations with them after death. Show more Show less
