Hi I'm Carson Ike Cleverly

I live in California. Oldest of four brothers. I love playing sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Carson and I live in sunny northern California I have recently received my mission call to serve in the Atlanta Georgia north mission. I also just graduated from high school. I played football all four years of high school. I set a tackles per game record at my school and was also awarded several academic honors. I hung out with friends and went to dances. I like to find fun in all things and show people how to have fun above the influence. I can't wait to serve my mission and help the people of Georgia.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to think that I was Mormon because my parents were. However is I got older I really started to like being Mormon and going to all the activities. When I moved to a new elementary school I already had some friends because we went to the same church. When I got into high school I was able to start attending an early morning scripture class before school. There I was able to really dive deep into the scriptures and see the deeper meanings and understand better what my church was all about. One of my biggest spiritual experiences was on a boys youth activity 14 and up. It was a 300 mile bike ride down the coast of California from Carmel to Malibu. During this adventure we were in groups of 3 to 4 acting as missionaries preparing and teaching lessons using personal experiences and scripture references from memorization. Just all the praying and studying for our lesson we learned and taught ourselves. When we finally presented our lesson at the end of the week on Friday the spirit was so strong. And our lesson was kind of lacking so we said a pray prior to the meeting around the camp fire. We talked with our father in heaven and reminded him how hard we studied to prepare and ask that he bless us and help us to teach by the spirit. Let me tell you the spirit was strong, everyone was solid in their part of the lesson and our group really brought the message home to bring the meeting to a close. Right before we adjourned the meeting our leader got up to say some closing remarks he said that that was on of the most spiritual experiences of his life and he challenged everyone of us all 12 to stay strong and faithful in the gospel of Jesus Christ and to go out and serve a full time mission. That is why I believe I am a Mormon, to be a good example of the LDS church, be a friend to the friendless, help the helpless, and go on a mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the holy ghost.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy being a Mormon. I love going to church and seeing my friends and leaders that push me to strive to be my best and accomplish all I can. One thing I really like about our church is they give the youth an opportunity to be leaders among their piers. For a little while I was on a committee then head of a committee to plan, set up, and put on fun wholesome activities for teenagers 14 to 18 years old. We had activities form sports night to movie night to weekend long conferences to meet youth and do activities with teenagers who believe the same as you and just want to have clean fun and no drama.
