Hi I'm Dylan Edwards

I grew up in St. George, Utah. I love playing sports, especially basketball and golf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing basketball and golf. I played high school basketball for Pine View High School. I also played for the high school golf team. I love to watch anything to do with sports. Personally, my favorite sport to watch would have to be football. I also really love to watch baseball. I am currently serving my mission in the California Oakland/San Francisco mission. I left in July of 2013, English speaking. I love my mission and it has been one of the greatest experiences! I do a lot of activities with my family, such as camping, going on vacation, and just hanging out. I spend a lot of time with my two little brothers, who are some of the best brothers I could ever ask for! I love my family so much and they are so great! I am the oldest of four kids. My family is someone who I can turn to in times of need and they give me a lot of support when I need it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love how the gospel gives me direction and peace. I grew up in the church, doing the things I was supposed to, such as going to church, reading the Book of Mormon, going to Seminary, and praying. However, I didn't make the best choices and especially when I got older, I started to see that I wanted to change. I thought I was happy, but deep inside, I wasn't. I was looking for a new direction, a new life, a different way. It was about my Senior year of high school that I noticed this and really wanted to change, and so that's what I did. I am a Mormon because I know the happiness this gospel brings! This happiness is the one that we all search for. It is true happiness. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to live the gospel and learn more about the gospel. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and his gift, the Atonement, that he has given all of us! Since I've been on my mission, my testimony of the gospel has really strengthened. There are a few different areas that have specifically been strengthened, but more specifically on how the Atonement of Jesus Christ gives us opportunities. I know that because of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ provided when he came to this earth, he gave us the chance to have new beginnings, to start clean, to have a new life. I am so grateful for all he has done for us. I also have a strong testimony of the Plan of Salvation. This gives me so much comfort and hope, it's so awesome! The plan is too perfect. Our Heavenly Father has given me so much, and I want to be like Christ. I want to give others the opportunity to hear about this plan and Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know this church is true!

How I live my faith

There are lots of ways I live my faith. I would always go with my dad to do home teaching on Sundays. It was always fun to visit new people and get to hear different stories. I really look up to my dad who is a great example to me how I should live my faith. I am also an eagle scout. I try to do anything I can to help others. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve others around me and show them the love that Heavenly Father has. I live my faith by serving a mission! I am very lucky to be in the bay area to serve the Lord. By serving a full time mission, this is how I live my faith. I live by example. I live my faith by striving to do the right thing. My faith has grown so much since I have chose to serve the Lord!
