Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a college student. I enjoy being with my friends and family most of all. I love life because I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I recently graduated with my degree in Public Health from BYU-Idaho, and my husband graduated with his Masters Degree in Healthcare Policy and Administration from WSU. Our jobs revolve around healthcare, and we love having careers where we feel we're making a positive difference in others lives. In our spare time, we LOVE backpacking, camping, and going on long trips away from the city. When we can, we take time to travel. So far we've been to Belize, Honduras, and Mexico, along with a few states in the U.S. Of all the places we've been so far, we love our home in Coeur d' Alene the best. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I joined this church when I was 15 years old. The missionaries came to my house and taught me and my family about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I knew in my heart that what the missionaries were teaching me was true. Through the Holy Ghost I came to know my Savior, and I knew that God loved me and had a plan for me. Heavenly Father knows who I am, and He loves me more than I can imagine. Through reading the Book of Mormon and sincerely praying, I came to know this church was true. Deciding to be baptized was the best decision I ever made. My life has been richly blessed because of that decision, and it has shaped me into the person I am today. I continue to live the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I can honestly say that I am truly happy because of it. I wouldn't trade the relationship I have with my Savior for anything in this world. He is my rock and my support through all things.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis through scripture study and prayer. I read from the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. I continually strive to have the Holy Ghost with me at all times by remembering my Savior and all he has done for me. I work hard to make good choices and serve those around me.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes. I believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The people in the Bible needed prophets for their lives, and so it is the same today. Show more Show less
