Hi I'm Regan

I'm from Atlanta, I love to run, eat, and read, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school in the Atlanta area, and I am leaving to serve a mission for the next two years in Rome, Italy. I am planning on following the footsteps of my father when I return by studying Finance in college. I love to spend time with my sisters and parents doing pretty much anything. My favorite activities include running, swimming, basketball, and just spending time with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, my dad was born and raised in Utah, and he has always been a Mormon. My mom on the other hand was born in Florida, and she was the first person in her family to join the church at the young age of 17. Both of my parents raised me in the church and taught me since I was a kid. I always believed it, and I loved going to church. Year after year I have continued to grow in my knowledge of the truth. It never came all at once. As I have persistently studied the scriptures, the words of the modern day prophets, and prayed with all the energy of my heart, God has mercifully let my feel of his love and his Spirit. However, I had one specific experience before my freshman year of high school at a church camp called efy that I will never forget. I was with a group of about 35 other youth and as we all shared our testimonies of Christ together, the Spirit of God touched all of our hearts in a way that we will never forget. I have been the only Mormon at my high school for 3 out of the 4 years, but this has only given me more opportunities to strengthen my faith and testimony. There have been moments where I have felt alone or even afraid at times, but consistent daily prayer and scripture study by myself and with my friends each morning at seminary have assured me that God loves me and knows my needs. I know that this is Christ's church, and I truly love everything about it. I love the opportunities this church gives us to serve one another. Losing ourselves in service truly is how we find the greatest joy God can offer us. Being part of a priesthood quorum has blessed me with friends who share my beliefs and standards. They have truly become my brothers. I love my leaders who have set such wonderful examples for me. Most importantly, I love the Lord, and I know this is what he wants me to do!

How I live my faith

The best way I can live out my faith is by loving God and loving my neighbors. I am certainly not perfect at showing my love all of the time, but I can continue to improve as I strive to live as Christ would if he were here. I love the saying, "You can talk but never teach until you practice what you preach." Over the course of my teenage years I have done my best to live the principles of the gospel and repent when I have fallen short. I can honestly say that expressing faith in Jesus Christ by living the principles of his gospel has brought me greater happiness than anything else in life. I can't wait to serve as a missionary and bring this message to the people of Rome, Italy from summer of 2013 until the summer of 2015. It will be the experience of a lifetime to serve with, work with, and learn to love the people there. I will also be able to teach the people about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The examples of the incredible missionaries in the Book of Mormon and the Bible have inspired me to do all I can to serve my Father in Heaven with all that I have and am.
