Hi I'm Lauren

I have been raised in Idaho. I love working on the ranch with my family! I am proud to say I am a Mormon! :)

About Me

I am 19 years old and eagerly waiting to leave on a mission this August! I will be serving in the Asuncion Paraguay mission and excitedly speaking Spanish! I enjoy photography, riding horses, and any time I get to spend with my singles ward! I plan on attending BYU-Idaho after returning home from the mission and possibly becoming an Agriculture Teacher! :)

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I have had so many close friends ask me this question and there are so many different ways to answer. But I know that I would not be the person I am today were it not for the church. The Holy Ghost is a gift that I treasure so much, to have the spirit guiding and helping me everyday is a huge blessing. I know that the blessings we receive from going to the temple are eternal, families ARE forever. I know that Jesus Christ knows each and every one of his children and he wants us to be happy. If he didn't present trials and sadness in our lives we wouldn't know what true happiness is. I know that God won't put anything in my life that I cannot handle, he will push me, but being pushed and tried only makes us stronger. I know that Joseph Smith was a true and living prophet of God. He restored the only true church upon this earth, it is through the power of God and Joseph Smith's hands that we have the Book of Mormon and the power of the Priesthood. I have felt the hand of Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father guiding and protecting my life. I know from experience that if we pray to see the hand of God in our lives, we will. And we will be amazed all that we are blessed with. I know when I feel my very happiest, it is when I am closest to Christ, I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet of God. I can feel it when I am in the same room as him. I know all of these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I have been so fortunate to be raised in the church, after graduating High School I began to realize that I had always done things because that is what was expected, I enjoyed doing it no doubt. As soon as I started attending singles ward I found that I WANTED to be there, I wanted to listen, I wanted to help and attend activities. I have been able to make connections with things I have been taught from the time I was 7 to now understanding the WHY in so many things I do. I enjoy going visiting teaching to the women in my ward, there is not a whole lot that can bring you more joy than to see you making someone else smile or doing them a favor. Just being their friend is worth it all.
