Hi I'm Sofia

I'm an international student. I'm a world traveler. I'm a yogi and gym lover. I'm a missionary in Canada. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in three countries, and was raised within different cultures. I'm an studying Exercise Physiology, with an emphasis in Nutrition at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I have traveled the world and loved every city visited. I enjoy fabulous company, photography/videography, working out, yoga, and, most importantly, sharing the gospel! The gospel is the most precious gift and for this reason I have decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been assigned to labor in the Canada, Montréal mission! I am so excited to be serving my Lord for a short period of eighteen months and continue to do so forever more.

Why I am a Mormon

Elder Holland, in April 2013 General Conference talk "Lord, I Believe" states, "In this Church, what we know will always trump what we do not know. And remember, in this world, everyone is to walk by faith." The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only true church on earth yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel. I am a Mormon because as much as I can offer it, it has more to offer to me; as I keep reaching out to Christ, He is reaching out for me. Having the knowledge of what I am doing here, where I am going, what can I do to be better, is what makes all the difference and creates the happiness that is meant to last for all eternity. God is real and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints it the way back to Him.

How I live my faith

Living and tring to different parts of the world has expanded my knowledge of the gospel and how I live my faith. When I lived in Mexico, I took early morning seminary and attended a high school where LDS kids can be counted with the fingers on our hands. I was president to the sweetest Laurels in my ward. Most importantly, trying my best to represent Christ and the church in everything I do. Having traveled to different parts of the world has expanded my knowledge of the gospel and how I live my faith. I have made the commitment to attend church on Sundays and worship with the Saints wherever in the world I may be. I love posting pictures of church buildings, temples, and inspirational quotes on social media to network with those around me that share my faith or have an interest in learning more. I am excited to live my faith as a missionary and solely dedicate all my time to Christ and His work.
