Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Utah. I'm currently on my mission to Cincinnati, Ohio. I love Math. I love to read books. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love to read. I Graduated from High School last year and I'm currently serving my mission. Most of my friends are currently serving as well and are currently around the world and I know we are doing the right thing in serving the Lord. I want to grow up and become a Math Teacher some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because a few years ago I felt so alone, like no one knew me or wanted to be my friend. I went around the high school moving from group to group. I would join a group for a few minutes then I would feel like I was pushed out of the conversation so I would quietly leave, no one even noticed I was gone. Then I went up to my stake Youth Conference, we went to Idaho to do a week of service, I had been asked to help be in charge. When we got there, there was a girl who was put in my group and we very quickly became friends and for the first time in years I actually felt accepted by someone outside of my family. I knew that Heavenly Father sent her to me to bring me back to the gospel. At that time I was starting to fall away from the church and she brought me back. I will thank her for that for the rest of my life. Without her I would have fallen away and I would not be currently getting ready to leave on my mission. I don't know where I would be but I know that it would not have been a happy place. She got me started on the path that helped me realize that I could never be alone and that my Heavenly Father is always with me if I let him.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the calling of Ward Missionary. In this calling I am in charge of teaching a family who can't leave their house to come to church. Another Ward Missionary and I visit them each week and teach them a lesson from the Gospel Doctrine Sunday School class. We have so many wonderful experiences from teaching this family and I'm learning alot about the Gospel as well as how to use the Spirit effectively while teaching.
