Hi I'm Davis James Rutter

I am serving a two year Mission in Peru and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Davis. I was born into an LDS Family. I have lived in Utah my entire life. As a kid all the way up to my Sophmore year in high school I was heavily involved in sports. I played football, basketball, baseball, and soccer until I was 12 and then my parents had me choose two and I chose football and basketball. When I was a Sophmore I decided to take a Musical Theater class with my sister. I fell in love and did theater all through high school. I have been working on a farm/orchard for the past three summers. I just do all the hard manual labor that the owner asks me to do and I love it. I love singing, acting, playing guitar, playing sports, working hard, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. Unfortunately I was not always living up to what I believed. I struggled and had a point where I needed to decide if I believed in this gospel or if I was going to run off and do my own thing. I decided to pray and read from the Book of Mormon. It had been a while since I had done that consistently. I finally decided to take the challenge found in Moroni 10:4-5 and ask God if these things were true. I experienced a moment of complete peace that has held up my testimony (along with many other personal experiences) and has shown me that this, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is God's church on the Earth, the only church with the complete truth, that is lead by Jesus Christ through living Prophets and Apostles.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity over the years to be in Quorum presidencies for Deacons, Teachers, and Priests. Being part of youth leadership has been a blessing in my life because it has taught me responsibility and leadership. I have also had the opportunity to be a home teacher. I got to visit two families in my ward with my dad. We would go and check up on them, make sure everything is going good, and give them a spiritual message
