Hi I'm Nate

I am serving the Lord through learning Korean and serving a mission in Seoul. I know God loves me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am nineteen years old and have spent a year at college. 17 credits was rather a lot to expect from myself for one semester, but I used the diligence scouting taught and made it through well enough. I have an older sister who is married and two younger brothers. The seventeen-year-old grew up alongside me. While we are not always the best of friends, we will get along and help each other when we can. My other brother, a ten-year-old, is almost more of a son. Our parents divorced and as I result neither of us are around our father very much. When my mother had to return to college and my sister was already away there, I had to take a leadership role within my home. At first it was a bother, but I came to appreciate how he relied on me and how I found myself relying on him. One example of our relationship is playing catch with a baseball. As a boy this was a privilege I enjoyed. As he is a boy, it was a privilege I sought to give him. While there is still a large amount of dodging the baseball and a medium amount of catching it, getting there was like climbing a steep hill to earn the great view. Life seems to filled with hills and mountains, grand views and breathtaking heights. Regardless of how difficult any journey is, I have yet to regret the trip from the top. Earlier pain can only make the heights more desirable. Life is a precious gift and I will seek to climb as high as I can during it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because not being a Mormon just isn't a choice. After I read the Book of Mormon and followed the challenge Moroni gives to earnestly pray about its truthfulness, I received my witness that the Book of Mormon is true, and that I needed to be a part of Christ's restored church in the latter days. I can remember the wonderful feeling I had because every time I'm following the Lord and inviting His spirit into my life, I feel it again. For me, the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon is undeniable.

How I live my faith

I have the wonderful privilege of serving a mission. The purpose in this is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them to receive the restored Gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. That is to say that I am trying to do for these coming two years as Christ did during his ministry on Earth: I will seek to serve my earthly brethren, instruct them in the pathways of righteousness, and help them to achieve Eternal Life in the kingdom of God. While on my mission, I dedicate all of time to serving the Lord by serving mankind here on Earth. It is a twenty-four hours a day seven days a week every week endeavor. Each minute is carefully planned in such a way that I am the greatest benefit to God's kingdom here on Earth that I can be.
