Hi I'm Chelsea

I grew up in Vegas. I'm a sports enthusiast, book addict, complete nerd, and easygoing kind of girl.

About Me

I love spending time with family and friends, playing sports, being outdoors, reading, learning, trying new things, playing music, and just having fun. I graduated from Brigham Young University, spent lots of time traveling the world and working for professional and college volleyball teams, and served a full-time mission to Northern California, which will forever hold my heart. My faith and my family are the most important things in the world to me and I am grateful every single day that I have both.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of strong members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormons. However, I will forever remember how my parents never forced me or my siblings to attend church. They explained that it was a good thing that they knew to be right, shared their testimonies with us, and always were good examples of strong church members, but then left it up to us to choose for ourselves. I will never forget when I prayed to know if the church was true, if Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet of God, and if the Book or Mormon truly was God's words to us. I received such a strong answer that I could never deny; I was filled with such joy, love, and peace. It is because of that testimony that I gained for myself, that I am a Mormon. That testimony has been strengthened over and over again. As I served as a missionary and saw others' lives change in indescribable ways by accepting Jesus Christ into their hearts, my testimony of the Savior's Atonement was made sure. I came to understand that because of Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven, we can become better, we can overcome challenges and trials, and we can ultimately return to live with our families back HOME with our Heavenly Father and Savior. My faith has been such a blessing in times of heartache and trial. I have experienced things that I never thought I would have to face, yet, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I have learned how to rely on my Savior. I know that we are able to not only overcome, but triumph over any trial we face, IF we turn to Jesus Christ. His arms are ALWAYS outstretched towards us.

How I live my faith

The greatest way that my faith impacts my life is that it influences my day to day decisions. Most of all, as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we try to follow our Savior's example and become like Him. Because of that, each day I try to be a little bit better, be a little kinder, more loving, and patient. I try to live up to my full potential. I want to share Christ's love with those around me, and really just try to make this world a better place. I served a full-time mission to California where I spent 18 months teaching people about Jesus Christ and His gospel. There is nothing greater than sharing God and Jesus Christ's love with others and helping them come to know our loving Father in Heaven and Savior personally. I have never experienced more joy than I did during those 18 months serving the Lord and coming to love my fellow men. I live my faith by sharing my testimony of the peace, hope, and joy that comes as we understand God's plan for us and live the gospel of Jesus Christ.
