Hi I'm Sarah Bain

I come from a family of 7. I am a missionary in Fukuoka. I love to laugh. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend Brigham Young University. I enjoy playing hanging out with friends, stretching, soccer, card games, running, working out, hiking, playing the piano, and spending time with my family. I love to laugh--probably my favorite pastime. I love warm weather, Harry Potter, peanut butter/honey/banana sandwiches, and the color peach. I am currently serving in the Japan Fukuoka Mission. I love this gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus is the Christ and he atoned for our sins. I know that if I repent I can return to my Heavenly Father. I know that I am a daughter of God, who loves me very much. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel on the earth. I know that through living the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I can live with my family for eternity. I am Mormon because I have faith in Jesus Christ and know that this is his true church. I am a Mormon because it makes me a better person.

How I live my faith

I love being active in the church. Activities and church callings help create lifelong friends and to strengthen my testimony. The church is a support-system for all aspects of life. I also live my faith by being an example to those I interact with. I try to encourage everyone around me to be their best self.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Sarah Bain
Mormon's don't drink coffee, tea, or alcohol because we believe that God revealed a law of health to Joseph Smith in 1833. God promised that following this law of health would lead to greater physical and spiritual blessings. On top of avoiding the drinks mentioned above, Mormon's don't use tobacco and illegal drugs. I follow this law of health, or the Word of Wisdom, because I have greater physical and spiritual strength. Show more Show less
