Hi I'm Joseph C. McBride

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

About Me

My name is Joe. I was born and raised in Utah. In high school I was involved in sports, drama, and sciences. I lettered in football and track. My studies were oriented toward engineering. After graduating from high school, I was called to serve a two year mission. I had a very enjoyable time. Following my mission, I enrolled in college and received a degree in civil engineering. While attending college, I was involved in the Institute program. During my senior year in college, I was drafted in the US Army. I was assigned to the infantry and served in Viet Nam. I was awarded a bronze star, purple heart and combat infantry award. During my two week leave, prior to shipping out to Viet Nam, I met my future wife. We had three dates, and I was committed. We corresponded while I was in Viet Nam and were married when I returned. We have five children and eighteen grandchildren. Following my graduation, I went to work for the government. I retired from the government. Since retiring, I have been involved with family history work and have been a temple ordinance worker.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied it, prayed about it, and lived it. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is what it clams to be which is Jesus Christ church on the earth.

How I live my faith

My religion is my way of life. Through working in the youth programs and adult activities I have seen how my religion has helped others and has influenced my life. Without the understanding of the purpose of life my religion gives to me, I am sure my life would have been different.
