Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in western USA, live in the southern USA, work hard, play hard, and love my wife. And I am a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

I have done a number of things in my life: driven trucks; worked in a lumber yard; swung a 16-lb sledge hammer for 6 hours a day; delivered newspapers; forecast demand for products; and bought and sold and led mid-sized companies. I have lived in Brazil (as a missionary for the Church) and Mexico (working), as well as in several regions of the United States. I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and enjoy learning languages. Professionally, I enjoy building strong teams of people that accomplish extraordinary things. I married the love of my life more than 35 years ago, and have raised a beautiful family with her. I enjoy staying fit, and really enjoy riding my road bike. I love life and the great journey I have had so far, and look forward to continuing my life's journey for many years.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. But I remain active in the Church, and loyal to the gospel of Jesus Christ because it is true. The Savior taught, "If and man will do his [our Heavenly Father's] will, he will know of the doctrine, whether it be of God..." (John 7:17). And this is how I know the teaching to be true. I live them. I also know that I do not need to face my challenges alone. I know that the Savior will help me, if I will be humble and acknowledge Him.

How I live my faith

I find great happiness in living according to the teachings of the gospel and commandments. Doing so keeps me free from addictions and other problems that could bring great sorrow into my life or the life of others whom I love. I firmly believe that the most important work I do is within the walls of my own home. My sweetheart and I took to heart the counsel to raise our family in righteousness. The result is a wonderful family, now all adults, that contribute in many positive ways to the communities where they live, as good citizens of their communities. I also enjoy participating in family history and temple worship. I find strength to do what is right by participating in temple worship.
