Hi I'm Kayla Kagie

I'm from Utah. I'm a college student. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play the violin, I'm trying to teach myself to play the piano, and I have recently learned to play the ukulele. I have completed one year of college and I am working towards my associates in Science. I have the ever popular major of undecided but want to find a career where I can help people. I am currently serving a mission in Sacramento California and I am so excited to share the gospel. I love seeing the gospel change the lives of others. I have had so much good come into my life as I have held tight to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church but through the years I have discovered for myself the truth of the things that are taught. I have experienced things that have been hard and trying. Through these trials I have grown closer to my Father in Heaven and have obtained a strong testimony of my Savior and the atonement. I am so grateful for the atonement that has made it possible for me to be forgiven of my sins and be comforted in my sorrows. I know were it not for God and for my testimony in the gospel I would not be where I am in my life today. I am happy and know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and wants me to return to live with Him someday. I know that by keeping His commandments and doing the things which He asks of me I can return to Him and find never ending happiness and eternal life.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I participate in Sunday School and study the gospel in my own time by reading the Book of Mormon and studying the words of the prophets. I strive to be as Christ like as I can be in all that I do. I am a representative of Jesus Christ and strive to behave as such. I have a desire to share my faith with everyone I come in contact with.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Kayla Kagie
We need to take good care of our bodies so that we can live long and happy lives. We also need to take care of our spirits which our bodies house. Our body is the temple or tabernacle for our spirits. We are all spirit children of our loving Heavenly Father and our spirit dwells with in our body. Our spirit is what causes our body to function and therefore needs to be well cared for. What we do to our body affects our spirit. If we are mistreating our body through substance abuse, neglect, or other harmful actions then we are also damaging our spirits. If we inhibit or hurt our spirit then it becomes harder for us to feel the presence of God's love and peace in our life. The Holy Ghost, or spirit of God, cannot dwell in unclean places so we must strive to keep our body clean and free from spiritually debilitating substances. The Holy Ghost testifies to us of truth and helps us to feel the love of God so we want him as our constant companion. As we work to keep our bodies clean we can have the companionship of the Holy Ghost every day and remain protected from the darkened world we live in finding peace and joy in our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. Are Mormons Christians?

Kayla Kagie
Mormons are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe in Christ, teach of Christ, and we are all saved through Christ. As members of Christ's church we always strive to live our lives in accordance with His teachings. In other words we are Christians. Show more Show less
