Hi I'm Cait.

I'm 19. I love 80s music. I'm an engineering major, a Utah State Aggie, and a full-time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey I'm Cait, short for Caitlyn. I'm a 19-year-old college student and I love it. I'm halfway through a degree in civil engineering. I played sports in high school but decided to focus on school and making relationships instead of continuing with that in college. I play at least one co-ed intramural sport every semester though! I also grew up dancing. I'm taking a break from school, however, to serve a mission in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'm the oldest in my family which makes it kind of hard but I know it's right. It's amazing to focus solely on the gospel right now and I can't wait to bring the joy I have in my life because of it to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have never felt anything as strong as the Holy Spirit testifying to me the truth of this gospel. I have felt it too strongly and too surely to ever deny it. The warm, joyful feeling of the Spirit is the most amazing feeling and I know it is just a taste of what heaven will feel like. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel to the earth. I know that my Savior lives and loves me and knows me. I have felt His peace and comfort as I have knelt and prayed during difficult times in my life and I know He will be there for me during the ones I have yet to face. I know my Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers no matter how small my worries and no matter where I am. I know that through the power of the Priesthood my family will be together forever. I can't imagine this life without that knowledge. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that anyone who reads it with an open heart will feel a light in their life that they have never felt before. I know with all that I am that this is the way and I will give everything I have for the next 18 months to bring it to the people in the Mid-West that I am destined to find.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by example. There was a talk given a couple years ago that I will never forget. It said, "Do the right thing at the right time, without delay." Whenever a prompting comes to me to write a note to a friend, or to do a small act of service I remember that talk and try to act on it without hesitation. I know that when I focus more on others and less on myself the Spirit is with me more and I can feel Christ's love. I live my faith by going to church each Sunday, dressing modestly, and keeping my language clean. I am continually learning and trying to love the people in my life as Christ would.
