Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in Nampa, Idaho. I love playing soccer and studying in school. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I played soccer and spent a lot of time with family and friends growing up in Idaho. Now, I'm in Utah studying at Brigham Young University in order to go to medical school. My hopes are to become an orthopedic surgeon or psychiatrist because I enjoy connecting with people to help them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and have been blessed my whole life to have had great examples around me. I have always had people, such as my parents or grandparents, that I could look to for help. Many people would say that I'm Mormon just because my family is, but it's important to understand that it's so much more than that. Everybody reaches a point in their life where they choose to believe or not. It's a decision to follow two different paths. When deciding what path I should follow, there wasn't enough evidence to tell me what the right answer was. I chose to believe because it felt good and it made sense, but it wasn't until I had traveled a while down this path that I could say with full conviction, "This was the right path and I know this is true." I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that there is a plan for us to be happy forever with those we love. Choosing to believe allowed me to develop faith and hope, and it was the best decision I have ever made. Nothing in my life has brought me more inner peace and joy, and it has carried me through the challenges I have faced in my life. I know this happiness has come from my Savior, and it motivates me to keep trying when I fall short.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by devoting my time and talents to serving others. I served a full-time mission in Cincinnati, Ohio and I learned so much about how Christ's gospel can fill our lives with love and peace. I also participate in church by visiting the members and seeking ways to strengthen the people around me. Doing daily things such as reading and praying help me to remember Christ in everything I do, such as when I work or study in school.
