Hi I'm Stephanie Schweizer

I'm a small town girl from the beautiful country of Kansas, I have a big family, and I served on Temple Square!

About Me

Firstly, and most importantly, I am a member of the true church of Jesus Christ. I am a seminary graduate and return missionary. I reflect on my mission daily and it motivates me to be better everyday. I have a large and rather complicated family, however I love them very much. I am currently in the PN training program in Kansas, I plan to get my bachelor's degree in nursing. I currently work in a long-term care facility as a CMA in the dementia unit, which I love. I also hold a calling in my local ward as a primary teacher. I am attending institute or the first time and I love it, it's a great learning opportunity for me. My goals are to find and be sealed for eternity to my future eternal companion and have an eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints when I was 8 years old, but I still had to gain my own testimony of the truthfulness of the church for myself. When I got into high school I participated in Early Morning Seminary. I gained a strong testimony of the scriptures, starting there as I read them for the first time on my own and learned about them. I did go inactive in high school as I said before, but I still attended seminary and actually graduated from seminary too. When I was inactive I made some bad choices and had difficult trials in my life. I didn't know at the time, but now as I look back on those experiences I had, it strengthens my faith in Christ. I know he was with me every second, helping and guiding me back the right path. I love to share my story with the people I meet, and each time I do I feel my testimony grow and I know that I needed to go through the things I went through in order to become the person he wants me to be. On my mission I was really able to grow and learn so much about myself and what I know is true. I've gained an even greater love for my Savior and to serving others. I want to devote all my life to this work, and helping the Lord and His children. So that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints is not just a faith to believe in, but it's a way of living. I decided the best way for me to really be converted unto Christ is to serve a mission. I was called to the Temple Square mission and I absolutely loved it and was truly converted to the gospel, I loved serving my fellow brothers and sisters everyday and now that I'm back home I try to continue to serve others and spread the good news to anyone who will listen. I read my scriptures everyday and try my best to tell as many people as I can about the book of Mormon and inviting them to pray and ponder it in their hearts. Not only reading it, but applying it to our daily lives. Prayer is an essential part of my life, I cannot get by without praying to my Father in Heaven first thing in the day and several times throughout each day. My day goes by so much better when I am praying to him and reading in the scriptures what he has to say to me. I know Heavenly Father wants to hear from all of us everyday.
