Hi I'm Becky

I'm from Virginia. I love laughing, being around family/friends and creating things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with my undergrad from Brigham Young University in Public Health. I'm 22 years old and currently working as a server until I get a job in my field or attend graduate school. Deciding what I want to do for work is proving to be a lot more difficult than I expected. I've spent the biggest chunk of my life living on the east coast. Most of my immediate family lives out here, which is why I moved back after graduating from BYU. I love being near my family and enjoy every minute I get to spend with them. I have the most adorable eight nieces and nephews and a best friend in each of my five siblings. Big families are the greatest! I try to have fun with everything I do in life and keep things light.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has shaped my entire life. I am a Mormon because the church allows me to change and grow and want to become a better person. Even with my numerous short comings I know that through repentance and use of the atonement I can continually work on becoming more Christ-like. I'm a Mormon because I want to live with my family forever. That is an incredible gift! I love having the knowledge of what is to come after this life -- we can live with our Father in Heaven again. I love my Savior and I know that he lives. I have prayed and received comfort and answers to many questions I've had. I have had to rely on and have faith in my Savior through the hardest times of my life. I have read and applied the scriptures to my life and know that they were written for us. I know that we have modern day prophets that are here to guide and help direct us toward the light of Christ. I would not trade the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father for anything in the world. He loves me--and you--and is there to help us face anything placed before us. I have seen the gospel work miracles in the lives of those closest to me and know that it is the only thing that can bring us true happiness.

How I live my faith

I look forward to attending church every Sunday. Listening to others testimonies always helps to strengthen my resolve to be better. When I have the opportunity, I love attending weekly institute where we study and delve into the scriptures. It's a beautiful thing to be surrounded by other people my age discussing what the gospel means to each of us and how it plays a part in each of our lives. No interpretation or understanding of the doctrine and principles of the gospel is silly--that what I love most. The gospel is so personal and reaches each of us so differently.
