Hi I'm Nick

I am a full time student, a door-to-door salesman, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I grew up in a little town just south of Brigham City called Perry. I loved my adolescent life, I had a lot of good friends and we had a blast together. I played Lacrosse for several several years and quite enjoyed it. I played middie (midfielder). I graduated from Box Elder High School in 2013. I left for the Philippines shortly thereafter where I met a lot of incredible people. I love them a lot. It was definitely the best two years for my life. Now I have been home for two years and am a full time student, doing my undergrad in marketing, and then will be getting my MBA and MHR. I currently work door-to-door selling pest control.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this is God's only true church on the earth. The amount of love and blessings that I have felt through the gospel of Jesus Christ is only fully found here. I have been to other churches. I have felt the Spirit of God at some, and not felt it at all in others. Even the religions that had a good feeling were still missing something. I am a Mormon, because I believe that God the Father loves us incredibly. We are His children. We can speak with Him through prayer in the name of Christ. He gave us His Son, Jesus Christ, to give us a chance to be able to come back to Him. He has always given prophets to teach us of Christ and guide us back to Him through His power called the Priesthood. He only gave prophets as people listened to them. When people stopped listening and starting killing prophets and kicking them out, He took away His power, and with it the guidance also was gone. This happened many times until Christ came and reestablished the church of God upon the Earth. As we read in the Bible, people eventually rejected and killed Him and His apostles. Without prophets, the priesthood and guidance from God, true teachings were distorted by what men thought they meant. Even what we know about the Nature of God was lost. It remained this way until God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared as separate distinct personages, both with tangible bodies, to the boy prophet Joseph Smith. They then restored the truth through Joseph Smith. As evidence of this Restoration, the Book of Mormon was translated by the gift and power of God. This book testifies of Christ. Christ came to the ancient Americas. He healed the broken and hurt, whether broken spiritually or physically. You can know of these things for yourself, as I have, if you are willing to seek answers through attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, studying the Book of Mormon, pondering its teachings and then asking your Father if these things are true. He will answer.

How I live my faith

I hope what I say does not come across as gloating, because that is not my intention. It's also not to seem "Holier than thou." My hope and desire is that glory is given to Heavenly Father, because He has given my everything that I have, and has taught me how to act through others examples and through His teachings. I try to live my faith because I want to please Him. I try to do all that He asks because I know that His commandments are because He loves me. I read scriptures daily because I feel closer to Him when I study them. I like that feeling. That is the same reason that I pray daily. Sometimes though, I do feel like I don't know what I should pray for, but then I usually just act and things work out. I go to church weekly to renew the promises that I made to God when I was baptized. My promise is to remember His Son, take His name upon me, and keep His commandments. His promise is to then always let His Spirit to be with me. I love this promise. Having His Spirit means that I stay positive and happy and optimistic.
