Hi I'm Alyssa

I love life! I love to laugh. I'm a Missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Alyssa! I am 22 years old and am currently serving a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a proud member of this church! I was raised in the church and am a strong member of 14 years. I have a smaller family than most! I am the middle of three children of two wonderful parents. My father is not a member of the church, and so my mother raised my siblings and I in the Gospel. My father is very supportive and I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for all families! My plans in life are to continue to serve my wonderful mission in California, peruse my education to get a degree, have a family and continue to live true to my faith and temple covenants and to be adventurous in life. My life-long dream has been to be famous. In some way. I guess being on Mormon.org is my shot of fame! :) I have had a wonderful life! I've Gained a testimony of Heavenly Father's plan for me and this Gospel over time, and I feel so blessed to be where I am today with the knowledge that I have.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that this is Christ's true church. In a world of many churches, I have learned for myself through study and prayer, this is Christ's true church. It is true-It is the way. THIS GOSPEL JUST MAKES PERFECT SENSE TO ME!!! Every bit of it!! It makes me so happy, it brings so many blessings into my life!! It brings me closer to my Savior!! It helps me understand who I am, where I came from, what my purpose is on earth and where I'm going. Whoever is reading this, It is my hope that you will look through this website! Look at other member's profiles, visit the "FAQ" section and get your questions answered, ask A Mormon your questions, meet with missionaries. Their purpose isn't to force, but to invite! They answer questions and teach so that you can better understand what makes Mormons SO HAPPY!

How I live my faith

Living our faith is a big part of who we are. When I made the choice to be baptized, I agreed to take upon myself the name of Jesus Christ in all that I do, think, and say. I am very imperfect, but I do have a desire to live my faith by remembering my baptismal and temple covenants. These promises that I made to my Heavenly Father make me want to do good and be good. I live my faith by actively participating in serving a full time mission for my Heavenly Father and this church. I love bearing my testimony and teaching others what has blessed my life so much! I also go to church every week and feel of the savior's love and Atonement by partaking of the sacrament. That ordinance each week strengthens me and helps me to continue to live my faith! I really enjoy serving others and pondering the deeper meaning of the scriptures and life! I have gained such a neat perspective on life and I feel in my heart that we are here on earth to prepare to meet God someday. Everyday is a test of faith! Our faith leads us to act, and so I'm grateful for the tools Heavenly Father has given us to help our faith grow so that we can continue to live what we believe. I try to see life the way Christ does, how he would handle Situations, how we would talk to and treat others, how he would handle temptation. I'm sometimes imperfect at it, but I do have a desire to be like him! This Gospel gives me that desire.
