Hi I'm Mark

I'm from Michigan. Love Ultimate Frisbee. I'm a gamer. I'll be serving in the California Irvine Mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I like doing most anything as long as I have a group of my friends with me and it could be anything from seeing a movie, playing a sport, camping, playing Settlers of Catan, magic the gathering and the list goes on and on. Some of the things I enjoy more are Ultimate Frisbee with anyone and then video games mostly Halo, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed and Batman based games. On July 10th I will be heading out on my to serve in the California Irvine MIssion. I'm Grateful for the opportunity that I have to put all the things of the world away and serve the people in California for 2 years... and not having snow for 2 years, but that's just a bonus.=)

Why I am a Mormon

Me personally I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I always believed it was true, but for the longest time I never knew for myself that it is true. So in my early teenage years I started by studying the Book of Mormon and reading the account of how Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. After doing this I decided I needed to pray to know if it was true. Just barely after I had asked God if this true is the Christ church on the earth today the Holy Ghost gave me the answer of yes through feelings of peace, comfort and a burning knowledge that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ church restored to the earth today and there was no way I would've have been able to deny that then or even to this day. I know the Church is true and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. That Our Heavenly Father knows and loves each one of us individually and wants us to return back to live with him. I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior as well as for everyone else who has and will live on this earth and that no one can gain eternal life except through him. I know our families here on earth can continue after this life and I'm grateful that I know these truths and that I can share them with the people that I will meet on my mission and with people that I will meet throughout the rest of my life.

How I live my faith

Every day I try and do the best I can to do the small and simple things that really do help my day like praying when I get up in the morning and before I go to bed at night, studying my scriptures, going to my church meetings and being a help to others when I see an opportunity to do so. I try to become better each and every day because everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect, but through repenting daily and letting the Atonement of Jesus Christ work in my life I know I can be forgive for what I've done and that my trials are helping me become more like Jesus Christ.
