Hi I'm Mary

I'm from Idaho. Im a student at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Welcome to my page--my name is Mary. I grew up in Boise, Idaho and enjoy every trip i get to go back. It's such a beautiful city. I grew up with 5 other siblings that are my best friends. Us children were blessed with the most hard working, wise, and understanding parents you could have. I'm grateful for the example they are to me, and the lessons i learned from growing up where i did. Currently, i am living my life dream of attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am planning on majoring in Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations. I am excited for my future and eager to see the things i will accomplish in my life. The most important thing to me is this gospel however. It has given me such perspective on life and guidance for my future. Everything i have, and everything i am is because of the choices i've made directed by the teachings of this church. I'm Mary and I love being a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

This church is such a blessing to me. The perspective it has given me on life and how to truly live to the fullest has saved me through so many hard trials and happy blessings as well. This instilled testimony has only given me the desire to share it with the rest of the world. I want every person to understand how happy they truly can be and how much of a deep personal relationship with your Father in Heaven you can have. I read a quote from a friend currently serving his LDS mission that I loved, and I want to share it because it sums up perfectly how I feel: “I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The dye has been cast! I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made; I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I’m finished and done with low living, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tainted visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals. I no longer need pre-eminence, positions, promotions, plaudits or popularity. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, am uplifted by prayer, and labor with power. My face is set, my gait is fast, and my goal is Heaven. My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear! I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won’t give up, shut up, or let up, until I have stayed up stored up, and paid up of the cause of Christ. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till I know, and work till He stops me.” ~Eyring I know this church is God’s church on this Earth & I wish everyone could experience the blessings that come from living it. I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed

How I live my faith

I am so blessed to be born into a family that are members of this church. Throughout my life I have been taught to keep Christ at the center of my life and pattern my actions after His. Christ wasn't ashamed of who He was. In fact, He shared with everyone who He was and His purpose here on Earth. That's what I strive to do in my daily life. I live my faith by example, by actions, and by deeds. I truly believe that the way you live your life is a greater testament to your beliefs and love for your Savior than anything you could say or claim. I know that I am a child of God who loves me, and He knows who I am. With this knowledge, it has opened my eyes and helped me view others perhaps how Christ would see them. My faith in this Gospel has implanted in me a love for others that feeds a desire to love and to serve--living my faith.
