Hi I'm Brittni

I'm a California girl. I love to make people laugh and see the sunshine that is everywhere. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest and only girl of a family of four. One of my favorite things to do? CREATE. Whether it be a song on the piano, just tryin' out a new recipe, or sewing something from scraps, I love to make something completely new and original! Something with my own hands! And though I love to teach and have taught piano over the past 3 years, I am currently studying to be a nurse in hopes of making a difference in the lives of those in need. I love to show my love for Christ through service to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because...well because I feel no greater joy than when I am living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that my Savior lives and that He loves me. I know I have a Heavenly Father who is so mindful of me and of my family. He hears my prayers. And through my faith, He has answered them and blessed me with miracles in my life. I know that the purpose of this life to experience joy and happiness. And I find that joy and peace through prayer, in reading the Book of Mormon, and in keeping the commandments. I know with my whole heart that the Book of Mormon is true. The Holy Ghost has testified to me of its truthfulness and every single time I read it, my faith and testimony grows stronger. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel and that he was a true prophet of God. I am grateful for him and for our living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. He is truly inspired and I love him. What a blessing it is to have a prophet who can lead and guide us down the path of happiness that will bring us closer to Christ if we will but choose to follow his counsel. I know that families are forever. I am Mormon because I know this church is true and I have faith in Christ. He is the rock of my salvation. I know He suffered and atoned for my sins. And He died for me. I cannot comprehend how or why He could love someone such as I, but He does. And I love Him and pray that I might live worthy of His love and share this glorious message with others that they might feel this same joy that God so freely gives and wants everyone to feel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in the church. Sometimes I am asked to play the piano for meetings or choir performances. It used to be a little nerve-racking playing in front of everyone, but I very quickly realized that everyone at church is one big family, always encouraging, and supportive no matter how many mistakes I may make. I love to play and feel it is a way I can share the talents the Lord has blessed me with. While I was away at college I taught a Sunday school class along with another teacher, and found it was a great way to strengthen my testimony through helping to strengthen others'. Currently, I am preparing to serve a mission in Kobe, Japan for a year and a half. I couldn't be more excited! I hope I can show I live my faith by trying to show love and kindness to everyone. And sharing the good news of the gospel that Jesus Christ lives, He loves everyone, and He wants every single person to have joy in this life and the life to come!
