Hi I'm Abby

Born in Utah, raised everywhere else. I'm an actor, and athlete, and a musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and performing arts. I play violin, piano, and have most recently started dabbling in theatre again. I love to play tennis and (sometimes) run. I love film and cinematography, and I want to be able to make really amazing videos and music videos someday, just like The Piano Guys and Lindsey Stirling :)

Why I am a Mormon

The town I live in is very small, and there aren't very many members. I'm the only member in my school, so it can be hard to stick to my standards and stand up for what I know is right. It's difficult being part of such a small minority, because there's really no one else that shares my beliefs and can back me up. I really love acting and theatre, for instance, but with every show that the high school or local arts academy puts on, there's a show on Sunday. I would love more than anything to be able to be in all of the plays, but I know that keeping the Sabbath day holy is more important, and as I've explained that to more and more people, I've found that they understand and respect me for my decision. I am so grateful for this gospel, because I know its true, and it's helped me so much to know that I am a daughter of God, and that he knows and loves me personally. I've read the Book of Mormon, and I know its true.

How I live my faith

I am one of the only youth in my congregation, or ward. I'm currently the president of our youth group/sunday school class for teenage girls (which is called Young Women's) , with my sister as the first counselor. I'm also the chorister, so I lead the music every Sunday. There's hardly any other members of the church where I live, so I always try to be an example, even though its hard to be alone.
