Hi I'm Corlie Ann

I work at being a friend, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister and 'Child of God." I am a mormon.

About Me

My favorite things are people and places, literature, music (most genres),family history, football, clean sheets, gardening (including weeding), good theatre, good movies, good dance, art, all four seasons, children's laughter, road trips, college classes, camping, children's books, rain, avocados, baking, sunsets, fireworks, mountains, deserts, skyscapes, saying "Good morning", time to eat slowly, other sports especially when I am ironing.

Why I am a Mormon

I clearly remember how I felt going to the Bishop's office for an interview to see if I was ready to be baptized when I was eight year old. I was aware that it was my choice and was worried that "I wouldn't pass" the interview. The Bishop asked me how I felt about my Father in Heaven, and what I knew about Joseph Smith. I believed that Joseph Smith experienced what he said he had experienced and have felt affirmation of that through auspice of the Holy Ghost speaking to my mind and heart. I understood that my baptism would make me clean and new; and I truly felt that way both INSIDE and OUTSIDE. I truly desired to be good always. In the many years since that baptism I have had to learn that I cannot be perfect by myself "after all that i can do" and my gratitude for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the GIFT of REPENTANCE is my lifeline. I have a "glimpse" of the Love of our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. They pe

How I live my faith

Because of the Lord Jesus Christ -- I have Hope. When I remember Him and the fact that His promises are sure I can "do hard things." Faith as a grown up is a a very conscious choice that includes obedience, study and action. However, instead of a "to dos" I am trying to "become" through obedience. I am strengthened by fellowship of other "believers" and also by the basic goodness I see in mankind in general. While I do not understand all things I have made and keep covenants with my Heavenly Father, I have felt the power and blessing of those covenants in my life and am witness to their edificacy and merit in the lives of others.
