Hi I'm Luke

I grew up in Provo Utah. I'm a future Helicopter Pilot. I'm a technology nerd. I'm a ginger. I´m a Mormon.

About Me

I love everything that has to do with the outdoors. I spend most of my time outdoors doing something with my friends. I am in love with Nature and all the beauties that God has granted us. I love to take pictures and capture that beauty. I document everything. I try to look for the small things that most people don't notice. I am an Eagle Scout. I have my Duty to God. I graduated from Highschool with honors. I aspire to become a Helicopter Pilot someday and will stop at nothing to make that happen. I am a tech junky and love anything that uses a battery. I specify in Mobile technology, especially cell phones. I could tell you anything about the cell phone you have in your pocket. Some things that I'm pretty sure you don't even know yourself. I love to sing, because music is one of God's quickest ways to help us hear the Holy Ghost. I am a young man preparing to serve a mission. I have been called to Mexico City and will be leaving on the 26th of June.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born and raised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I have had to learn so much on my own. My first recollection of feeling the spirit was at my first Youth Conference when everyone was bearing their testimonies. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I read it for a Christmas present for Christ. When I finished it on the night of the 24th, I knelt down in sincere prayer and asked if it was true. The answer didn't come as a burning in the bosom and so began to deny my beliefs in the book. But when I audibly tried to say "The Book of Mormon is not-... It is not-" I simply could not force the words out of my mouth that it wasn't true. Throughout Highschool I have felt the spirit testify of truth in my seminary classes and during personal scripture study. As I have been sincerely preparing to serve a mission for His church I have had, hands down, the most incredible experiences with the Holy Ghost. I have had dreams and visions, and promptings. And as I have strived to be worthy of Christ's priesthood, I have been able to taste the joys of heaven. Experiences that have made my roots strong and will never shake me from His love. Because if the joy I felt giving my first priesthood blessing is anything like the Celestial Kingdom; I will stop at NOTHING to find my way back to Christ, hoping to one day stand before him, knowing I have given all my energy to do His will.

How I live my faith

I am an young man and I have just barely turned 18. I try to spend most of my time with the other young men in my ward. I Love seminary and institute, they are some of the best places to learn about Christ and his Gospel. I cannot seem to function properly without reading my scriptures and praying in the morning. Days just seem to go a lot better when I have made a conscious effort to grow closer to our Lord before I start. Life can be busy and so it's hard to stay focused on what matters most, but I am a witness of Christ's love and have tasted of the sweet happiness that comes from being worthy to exercise his priesthood. Because of the experiences God has granted me, I have set out to change the person I used to be, into someone that can stand the test of time and all eternity.
