Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Darcie

I'm a girl on an LDS mission just trying to help people find true happiness through Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am excited to serve the Lord! I am a 20 year-old girl that loves to learn. I love to play tennis. I play the piano, flute, and saxophone. I attend a university in Utah (don't worry, not BYU) and study Biological Engineering. I love teaching others and helping them to expand knowledge. I love math and science and can't stand procrastination. I hate sleeping in and love the mornings right before the sunrises. I can't imagine not living close to a temple. I enjoy attending each week and performing ordinances for the dead. Being able to see it from my backyard ROCKS! I love nature and enjoy spending time in the sun. The only TV I ever watch is sports and cooking shows. I want to be the most amazing cook for my family in the future. I have 4 siblings and amazing parents. I'd really rather hang out with them than anyone else. We love to cook, watch sports, and travel the United States together.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. When I follow what the church suggests to do, I never am not happy. That's not to say that I never have hardship, sadness, or trial, but with the gospel, I know with all my heart that everything will be okay, maybe not today, but eventually. Sometimes life just seems to be falling apart, but if I keep striving to do what is best, I am able to be cheerful in the gloomiest of times. The Savior lives and loves each of His children. Regardless of what we have done in the past or all of the stupid daily mistakes we just seem to keep making, He is willing to forgive us and help us to be happy once again. I know that following the leaders of the church, since they are guided by heaven, will also to be happy. The gospel is true. I love it. I live it. I can't see myself without it.

How I live my faith

On a mission, it's pretty simple to live my faith. We study, pray, serve, and preach everyday. But it is definitely a trying time of my faith. People doubt my faith all the time. When they just don't want to listen, that's when I realize most fully that I know our Savior lives. This gospel is true. My faith is real. At home, I enjoy getting to interact with so many people of my own faith. The place I live isn't overtaken with Mormons, but it is a pretty prominent religion. I love that at school, I can meet friends of my faith as well as many that aren't. I serve in my ward in whatever ways I can. I just was released as a coordinator for "Home Evening" which is a ward activity every Monday night. I loved getting everyone together and just having fun. I attend a religious class at an institute that is right across the street from my house. I love learning the gospel with other classmates. It's a great relief to be able to attend this class while in the midst of my engineering classes. I make an effort to study my scriptures, attend the temple, and do my best to serve all those around me each and every day.
