Hi I'm Kaitlyn Carter

I grew up in a tiny town in Montana. I love to read, play basketball, and play music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! :) My name is Kaitlyn. I grew up in Montana! The big sky state :) I couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to live. I love to be outside. Hiking, camping, and river floating have always been part of my life. I was super fortunate to grow up in a small school where I could try everything! I was captain of the volleyball and basketball teams, a was in band and choir, and you would always see me in the school play! I just finished my first year of college and I LOVED it! I study music, and I was a redshirt on the basketball team. I'm currently serving a mission in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission. I've never been happier!!! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because in this wild and crazy life, I need peace. Peace not just physically, but peace for my soul. This church is all about helping you become closer to Christ. Jesus Christ is the only vessel in which we can enjoy true peace and happiness. I am a Mormon because it is the one thing in my life that I can always rely on. It is the one thing in this life that has brought me more happiness then I could ever imagine. I love being a Mormon. :) I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true gospel on earth today. I have received a special witness of this truth, and so can everyone else. God is there, and He loves all of us so deeply and so purely. He is begging us to come unto Him. All we need to do, is take that one step closer.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel. I try to live my faith everyday. Sure, I have calling teaching, or organizing activities. But I try to live my faith through being kind and being an example to others. Now that I'm on a mission, I've never lived my faith more than I do now. I feel like my whole life i took for granted this incredible gift that I was born into. The Gospel is a full time gig. The Savior didn't want us to come the Earth to do things half way. It's all or nothing! :)

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Kaitlyn Carter
I hear the saying once; "God made man.. then He had a better idea". hahaha :) I'm not a feminist in anyway, but I do know that men and women are very equal in this church! There are leadership positions for both genders, and men and women are to work in harmony if the church is to be built properly. I've had different callings in the church to be a teacher, a group leader, or a president of different organizations within the church, and all have been very fulfilling and in no way unequal from the duties the men have! Women in the church.. are just like women out of the church. Ever since I grew up, I have been taught that modesty is hottest, and that virtue and purity are Godly attributes. We may not dress the same as other people, or talk with the same slang, but we really are just like anyone else! :) Show more Show less
