Hi I'm Korinne Harper

I grew up in Sandy, Utah. I'm a Mormon and am serving a Mission in Spokane Washington.

About Me

I love horses, boating, and hanging out with my family. I have the absolute best family in the whole world. I love them so much and my brother Stephen is my best friend. I am a very laid back person and just love being alive. My favorite things to do are boating, horseback riding and just hanging out with my family. I grew up on a boat and me and my family are on the lake as much as possible. I love it all; Wakeboarding, surfing, tubing, sky ski/air chairing, swimming, jet skiing, cliff diving, and especially falling asleep at Lake Powell on top of a house boat under the stars. I have been riding horses since I was nine years old! I have been working at a barn from the time I was about fourteen or fifteen to continue paying for my riding and my competitions. This is my life. I love all my friends at the barn and being there all the time. Right now I have a thoroughbred gelding named Indi. I love him so much, and miss him being on a mission. I love being with my family. We love watching movies together; Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are the favorites. We also love watching Bones together. We also love to play board games together, namely Settlers of Catan. To put it simply I love life, outdoors, and family. Being a mormon makes life all that much better. Right now I am on a mission in Spokane Washington. It's the best and hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love sharing the knowledge I have with those around me. I love everyone!!

Why I am a Mormon

The Lord has answered my prayers concerning the restored Gospel. There was a long time in my life when I didn't believe in The Book of Mormon, Prophets, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and wasn't even sure if there was a God. I was raised Mormon and both my older brothers had served missions. It seemed like they had received an answer from God so easily that the church was true. I felt like I had gone to church and read my scriptures, but never got an answer. I decided since I didn't get an answer it wasn't true. What I didn't realize as the years went by was how I was less and less happy. By the time I was eighteen I was in a really bad place. I was miserable and angry at the world. My brother came home from his mission in September of 2012. He tried to get me to come back to church, but I wouldn't. In November there was one really really bad day. I remember driving home from work and I pulled over to the side of the road in tears and for the first time in years prayed. I asked God for two things if he was even there, to show me that someone loved me and to let me know what I needed to do to be happy. I got home from work and my brother came up to me, hugged me, and just said, "I love you SO much." The next morning I had an overwhelming knowledge that I needed to go to church. I went and have been going ever since. God answered my prayers. The difference in my life was night and day. I was SO happy. In March of 2013 I received my mission call and here I am!

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission right now and I love every second of it!!! I know this church is true and has brought me more joy than anything in my life. Because of the gospel my relationship with my family is extremely strong and I am just an overall happier person. I know that right now as I serve a mission I am living my faith to the extreme. I share the gospel with the people of Spokane and stand as a representative of Jesus Christ in every way that I live. When I get home in sixteen months (I've been out two so far) I will continue to live my faith. I will stand as a witness and always be an example of what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints stand for. I will teach my future family the values I have been taught because I know it has made a huge difference in my life to make good decisions. I will also continue to share my knowledge with those around me because even though I won't officially be set apart as a missionary we have all been called as missionaries of God. I know that I will continue to strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ in everything that I do by showing everyone charity and love. I love my Savior so much and love reading in the Bible and The Book of Mormon daily. I also love listening to the talks of the twelve apostles and the prophet.
