Hi I'm Janaya

I am a music lover: singing, playin' instruments, listenin', the whole bit. I love learning and laughing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A bit about me: ever since I can remember, I've been singing. Along with that, I took 10 years of piano and was the atypical child that loved to practice the piano. Music is as much a part of me as breathing. I have dabbled a bit in the theatre world, playing the part of La Carlotta in my high school's production of "Phantom of the Opera". I love the sounds and beauty of nature and often find myself staring at the stars while I'm up in the mountains. Water is another love of mine. I have always loved being in the water, even if I wasn't a strong swimmer until after a year of vigorous practice on the high school swim team. I even went back the next year I loved it so much. My favorite people to spend time with is my family. I have seven siblings that keep my life full of laughter and variety. I consider friends that I'm close with family and also enjoy being with them.

Why I am a Mormon

My family means so much to me. I had a younger sibling die and the knowledge that families are eternal, or forever, is why I am a Mormon. Jesus Christ came to this earth to overcome the chains of spiritual and physical death. The Atonement, His death on the cross, and His resurrection are the result of that decision. Because of His willingness to be obedient to the will of the Father, we all have the chance to choose to follow His example. As I strive my best to have faith, repent, and obey his commandments, I can feel the Atonement come alive in my life. He heals my heart through His loving sacrifice. My ultimate goal in life is to live worthy to see Jar-Bar (my little brother) again. I know this is possible because of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ that is on the earth once again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in sharing my ability to play the piano as many times as I am asked to. I have played in almost every church meeting and sung for them because I love testifying that Jesus is the Christ and that He lives. At the present time I am now organizing the music for those meetings.
