Hi I'm Jessica

I'm from Arizona. I'm studying vocal performance at Stanford. I'm going on a mission to Ukraine soon! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI! My name is Jessica and I am from Tempe, Arizona. I'm the oldest of four - two boys, two girls - and have a super energetic yellow lab named Rosie. I'm currently a Junior at Stanford University majoring in Music and pursuing a concentration in vocal performance. Right now, I'm finishing up the school year, enjoying my last weeks with awesome friends, and getting ready to go on a mission to Ukraine!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I felt undeniable truth and light after putting forth the time and effort to study the Book of Mormon, ponder and question (a lot) the gospel, and fast and pray to know whether or not the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church and whether or not the Book of Mormon is true scripture. I look forward to going to church every Sunday because I can show my Heavenly Father that I trust Him and want to follow Him and His Son. I also always feel spiritually lifted by talks and testimonies of others, taking the sacrament, and doing what I know to be good and right.

How I live my faith

The past few months, my callings in church have been choir director and sunday school teacher. I love music and have really enjoyed learning how to conduct a choir, choosing cool hymn arrangements, getting people to come and enjoy singing, and demonstrating my faith and love of and gratitude toward my Heavenly Father and my Savior through song. Teaching Sunday School has been a great learning experience for me as I have learned more while preparing, pondered gospel principles and tried to help others gain something from lessons, and gained more teaching practice - something I'm sure will help me on my mission!
