Hi I'm Marianne

I'm a small town country girl serving a mission in Las Vegas. I'm a BYU-Idaho student and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at a university studying biology and working at a local grocery store. I enjoy science, particularly health sciences. Learning is important to me and has always been something I've tried to pursue. When I'm not working or studying I enjoy anything outdoors and being active. I enjoy long distance running; especially early morning runs. Hiking, camping, rock climbing ect....it's all fun! Fishing days with grandpa are some of my best childhood memories. I also like riding things that move fast. I prefer a good horse, but anything on wheels works too. If there's one thing I wish to collect it'd be classic black and white movies. My favorite actors and actresses are the ones who out live themselves such as Jimmy Stewart, Adrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Shirley Temple...ect. Along with favorite actors I also have favorite comedians which would easily be Bill Cosby and Bryan Regan. However, my best friend keeps me laughing the most so she'd have to be my number one. I love a lot of things and keep myself pretty busy but more than anything I love spending time with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

While reading and rereading the Book of Mormon has increased my faith in the Savior and in His restored church upon the earth, I was not converted simply by reading it's pages. I was born in the Church to parents committed and active in the church. I was raised knowing the precious truths of the gospel. My conversion story is not one of some extraordinary event or realization that changed the course of my life. Instead, my conversion has and continues to take place over a life time as I not only read His word but live it. I live the gospel because it is true. What greater joy could one hope to find in his or her life than to know their eternal and divine worth as a child and offspring of Deity with the hope that through Christ they can inherit eternal life. I don't have to spend a life time searching for my true identity. I know who I am. I'm a daughter of the Most High with infinite worth. No life is worthless; no individual hopeless. His plan is perfect and is for everyone. I love my Savior because He lives. I live the gospel because it's true.

How I live my faith

I've been a member all my life. The gospel always came first in our home. My family and I enjoy serving within the church and in my community in different capacities. My favorite of which has been teaching my sunday school class of 7 and 8 year olds. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission for a period of 18 months.
