Hi I'm Colleen

I grew up in Murray, Utah. I now reside in Boise, Idaho. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of 7 children and the grandmother of 17 grandchildren. I love to spend time with my children and grandchildren. I enjoy sewing, reading, riding a bike, and Crocheting. I was able to just recently retire from work and I am looking forward to serving a mission in Santiago, Chile with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church since I was baptized when I turned 8 years of age. I am grateful for family that taught me about the church. I love to read the scriptures and attend the temple. I as grateful for a loving Heavenly Father that I knows loves me and my family. I know that he is there and that if we stay near to him though prayer and by being obedient to his commandments we will be able to live with him someday. I have a sure knowledge that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on earth today. I love the special feeling of the Holy Ghost that helps me to make correct decisions. My prayer is to continue to live the way that my Heavenly Father and our Brother and Savior Jesus Christ would have me live.

How I live my faith

I enjoyed teaching the youth in the Spanish branch for a couple of years. I was able to attend church there for a couple of years and now I am going to my English speaking ward. During my life time I have been able to help others in our community by working at Idaho Housing and Finance Association. We helped the low income get into homes of their own. I have taught lessons to the young children, youth, adults, and the women in our church. I enjoy being a Visiting Teacher and have made many friends and enjoy visiting with other women even if they do not attend our church. I was able to serve as a leader in the women's group of our church and I am never happier than when I am serving others.
