Hi I'm Samuel

I live in Idaho. I've been called on a mission to Romania and Moldova. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am interested in politics and government, however I plan on going to college for engineering. Currently though I am preparing for my mission, I have been called to serve in the Romania/Moldova mission. I am really excited about it. I grew up in a small town with a lot of good friends and family. I enjoy doing outdoor things like camping, fishing, shooting, and hiking. I'm pretty much just an average guy trying to do the best he can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but I choose to live the values of the gospel and remain steadfast in church because I know it is true. My parents are both converts to the church and because of that they have been able to teach me how the gospel has made their lives as well as the lives of all their children so much better. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God just like the prophets of old because I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed to God to know if it is true. I have received the answer that is is true through the promptings of the Holy Spirit as it touches my heart when I read the Book of Mormon. It is on that truth that my testimony builds. God speaks to his prophet today to lead his church on this earth. He loves us and wants the best for us. He has restored completely his gospel and his priesthood and his ordinances on this earth never again to be removed. I know that this gospel will bring all who embrace it more joy than anything else.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in many ways. I'm leaving on my mission soon to Romania so that is a big one but there are many others. I served in a number of youth leadership positions growing up and I benefited greatly. I learned to love others in ways that that I previously did not. I gained a better understanding of how everyone is going through a different challenge and the best thing we can do for them is to love and encourage any way possible. Also, I was able to help congregation leaders organize activities for the youth, it was a lot of fun.
