Hi I'm Frances Alger

I am from Seattle Washington. I am studying public health at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come for a large family, because of this I have always been surrounded by love. When I went to college I became more isolated from my family, and was able to find myself. I love to play sports, any kind, but soccer and volleyball are my favorite. I also love to sing.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger my parents wanted me to explore other churches so I could decide for myself what I believed. I have always had a strong testimony in God and Jesus Christ. As I learned other beliefs, I realized that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints made me the kind of person I wanted to be. I know with all my heart that this is the correct church and I am putting my life on hold to proclaim the gospel to the people of Leeds, England for the next 18 months.

How I live my faith

I live what I believe every day. In church I love to help out in any way I can. Previously, I have worked with the smaller children and taught them Bible and Book of Mormon stories. I also have helped by arranging different hymns to sing in a choir and directing the choir. Sometimes there are people in our church that need extra love and help, as I see a need I serve them in any way that I can, even if it is an ear to listen.
