Hi I'm Keeton

I'm an engineering student, athlete, musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports. I grew up playing and competing in soccer, basketball, tennis, and swimming. I played soccer and swam during high school, and managed to go to the Utah 4A state finals for swimming all four years of high school. I also love to play music. I play the piano, guitar, alto saxophone, ukulele, and organ. I love to listen to songs and make my own arrangements of them. I also have perfect pitch, meaning that I can listen to a musical note (or other random sounds) and be able to tell what note or pitch it is, which has helped me in my musical pursuits. I am studying Computer Engineering at college, and am enjoying it. It is a fun and challenging major and I am learning a lot about electronics, computer programming, math, physics, and other sciences from it.

Why I am a Mormon

I began learning the gospel of Jesus Christ as soon as I was old enough to learn. I have come to love my Savior and know, through the Holy Ghost, that the message of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the message of salvation. It is a message of hope, happiness, love and life to come. I have also read the Book of Mormon several times, and each time I read it, my knowledge of it and my belief in its verity are magnified. I am grateful to this knowledge and for the peace, purpose, strength, and love that it brings to me.

How I live my faith

I love sharing my faith and my testimony through music. I have played and sang numerous musical numbers by myself, with the ward choir, or with others, throughout my years of church attendance. I was also a church organist during ages 17-19 for the congregation I grew up in. I am currently serving a mission in the Novosibirsk, Russia mission, and learning the Russian language. I hope to be able to bring the joy of the gospel to the people in my mission and be able to express my message well in Russian.
