Hi I'm Jonny

Lawnmower, college student and brother. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My full name is Jonathan Carl Crawford, although most people call me Jon or Jonny. I graduated from high school about a year ago and currently I am 19 years old. I live in a rural town in southeastern Washington state, where I have lived all my life. My family includes my my mom and my dad, my two older sisters, my two older brothers, and my little sister, of whom I all love. Over my experience in a 1A high school (1A meaning about 400 students) I was able to participate in many school activities including three musicals, all of which i had leading roles. I also in choir, singing as a tenor for three years. As for sports I played four years on the tennis team, two of those years I was nominated as team captain. Although I never played many other team sports, I do enjoy playing basketball, soccer, and table tennis. As for talents and hobbies, I really like to draw and sketch as well as play the piano on my spare time. I also love reading a good books. Other than that, I worked as a self employed lawnmower for the past five years, and have also worked in local cherry harvests for some seasons. Currently, I have been attending at a local community college for the past year in hopes of either obtaining my AA degree to transfer to a four year college or transferring before getting my AA. In the very recent future, I am leaving my hometown and will be serving a full time two year service as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was born, I have been fortunate enough to feel the influence of the gospel in my life. My parents are members and they were the first to teach me about the gospel. Although I had the gospel taught to me for a good amount of time, I still had to find out for myself whether I wanted to follow His gospel or not. From prayer, fasting, and scripture study, I found that His gospel is true, and this is why I still follow the gospel today. I know that the Lord has blessed daily, and that he has helped me in my times of need and that the gospel is true, and that Christ's Atonement is real.

How I live my faith

Although I'm not perfect, I try to be the best that I can be through all the small and simple things that I can do to be like Christ. I have been able to do this by visiting and getting to know people, some of whom would otherwise not have anyone else to talk to. I also try to live my faith by participating in service projects within the community, and in one case planning and leading a service project. In recent times, I have had the privilege to teach to 7-8 year old kids during a Sunday school class for the past six months. I am also leaving to the Iowa, Des Moines area to teach about the gospel and serve for the next two years.
