Hi I'm Kallie

I grew up in Utah. I love sports and the great outdoors. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in the church, but wasn't really interested until about a year ago. Reading the Book of Mormon changed my life. Some of my hobbies include softball, soccer, reading, music, theatre, and being outdoors. I love spending time with my family and friends doing just about anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not grow up in the gospel. My family was sealed in the temple just before my eight birthday and then I was baptized shortly after. My family did really well for about a year, then we stopped going to church. When I was about 12 or 13 we began going to church again. That didn't necessarily mean that I had any interest in the gospel. Through trial and error I found that I am happier when I am an active member of the church. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He atoned for my sins. I know that God loves me and wants me to be happy and be the best person I can be. I truly believe that by being a member I live my life more as the Savior did while on the earth than I would without this church. I am involved in my community and strive to be a good person.

How I live my faith

I try to find service opportunities in the community so that I can help others. I love to study my scriptures particularly the Book of Mormon and the New Testament. I like sharing the gospel with others when ever I can. I don't just preach it I live it.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Kallie
We are commanded by God to pay one tenth of our income to help build the kingdom of God on earth. Its a blessing and a privilege to be able to pay tithing. Tithing is used to help build temples, chapels, and other church buildings. It helps in the missionary program not including individual missionary expenses. It helps with temple work, family history and education. When we pay tithing the Lord promises to bless us(Malachi 3:10). Show more Show less
