Hi I'm Makenzie Maxfield

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. Soon to be Hermana Maxfield and serving in the Dallas, Texas Mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 7 kids and my family means the world to me. I have 10 nieces and nephews whom I adore and learn new things from each and everyday. I am a dancer, lover of all sports, and music because it can speak to my soul. I have a new found love for the guitar about 3 years ago and have a hard time putting it down once I get going. Making new friends is very special to me and I grew up surrounded by some of the most influential friends in the world. We grew stronger together each and everyday as we faced many challenges together as a team, supporting one another through whatever it may have been. I love to try new adventurous activities that stretch my limits. I am attending college right now, in which I plan to graduate and grow as a individual in many aspects there. I am a fun, outgoing and very loving person and want to live my life to its fullest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been taught throughout my life of the truths it stores. I was blessed to be raised in this gospel by my parents but learned from myself that this is the life I wanted to live and the Church I wanted to be a part of the rest of my life. The eternal promises it shares are undeniably the best promises to know and keep in the back of your mind. Being a mormon brings great happiness and joy to my life each and every day even when I am down and feel alone. I have a testimony of this church that I am Never alone. That Christ suffered for all my pains and afflictions of all kinds and has felt everything I have or yet to have feel. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and that he was able to be the instrument in the Lord's hands to translate the Book of Mormon because he was prepared. He could have not done it without Heavenly Fathers help and he choose Joseph for a very specific reason. I know that now we have a prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, who recieves revelation for us in this day to read, listen and abide by. I have a firm testimony of General Conference and how the words from the prophet and apostles are words of God and can help every single one of us if we first choose to listen and obey. I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers and will be apart of our lives if we take the time out of our lives to make him apart of ours. He knows each and everyone of us individually and has a hand reaching out to us just waiting for us to reach out and grab it and hold on tight. I know this Church is true with every living fiber in my being and I love it.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by accepting a call from the Prophet, Thomas S. Monson to go and serve a Latter-day Saint mission in the Dallas, Texas Mission. From this call I promise to serve the people of Texas for the next eighteen months of my life with my whole heart, might, mind and soul and teach them of this Church of which I belong. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the blessings and knowledge that come hand in hand with these special teachings. I participate in church each and every week and go because it is a sanctuary, a place where I know I will be uplifted, comforted, and guided for the next week ahead of me. I live my faith by dressing modestly and being an example to others that may come across me each and everyday. I try to be happy so those searching for something to enhance their lives even more than what they already have can see that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can bring happiness to them too.
