Hi I'm Joseph Matthew Powell

I am a musician, Teen and artist.

About Me

I am now one of those human doodlers who has talents and struggles are beyond description. This goes along the lines of a teen who doodles in school wanting to forget the past, but ends up repeating it. I play French Horn, participate in many orchestras, bands, and i also sing tenor in multiple choirs! I also draw. My life in details is pretty hard to explain right now, so check back in a few years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am simply a Mormon because I chose to be. I am still learning right now. At age 8, I was pretty rebellious at first. Grudgingly and at the same time, I am happy I got baptized. But now, I learn of my consequence of my choices. 3 years ago, I made a choice that I am now regretting. But I promised to myself that I will strive to make a difference. I truly believe we all have free agency. With that agency, I made many mistakes. Just like everyone else, I am not perfect. But every day, I strive to do my best!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by music and entertainment. I do my best to only get clean pictures on Facebook and stay away from YouTube. There have been multiple times where I get caught off the straight and narrow path, but with the Holy Ghost with me, I know that I can always make my way back and hold on tight to the Iron rod. My testimony is everything. All of the Earth, Stars, Life, Computers, rocks, microphones, everything imaginable, is used in my testimony of the gospel and the existence of God. Just think about it! I’m here right now typing this with a mind that multitasks and uses up 20% of all my energy. It is teaching me to breathe, walk, talk, while the gospel does the same. It teaches me to believe that out there, there is a God who has a plan for us to live eternally with him. To learn and grow with a good education, having a family forever together.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Joseph Matthew Powell
We aren't criminals and whiteness. Instead we use testimony in a different way than most of us think of it. Whenever we "whiteness" something from the Holy Ghost, we get a strong feeling that tells us it's true. Show more Show less
