Hi I'm Clayton

I love music, reading, writing, and just having fun. I love to serve others. I am diabetic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most of my childhood was spent on my bed, reading. I love to read, and it has influenced me in all aspects of my life. I was a tutor for children in reading and math for 2 years. I have recently fallen in love with writing as well as reading. If I am not reading, I am doing something with music. I love to play the violin, as well as the guitar. Music has been around me my whole life. It calms and relaxes me. At the age of five I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. The most important thing in my life is my family. Due to this Gospel being in my life, I am given strength and comfort when we go through hardship. I love my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church for my whole life, but had to find out for myself if it was true. Since the age of about 12, I have been reading, and rereading, the Book of Mormon, and praying to know if it is true. I can now testify that it is. This church has been a rock in my life. No matter what happens in my life, I know I can count on the Lord to be there, and His church. It has been a great comfort to me. I have felt and seen the Spirit in my life too many times to count, witnessing to me that this church is true. Because of the church, the health challenges I now face do not overwhelm me. Without the knowledge I have of Jesus Christ and His Gospel, I would not be able to cope. I know that the Lord will continue to bless and comfort me as I strive to do His will.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in our ward; I have been a counselor for our young men, have been very involved in boy scouts, and am currently an eagle scout. In the young single adult ward I currently attend, I am an assistant clerk helping with the membership records of the ward. From the age of 18 to the age of 20, I served a 2 year mission for the Church, and spread the Gospel to the wonderful people in Kansas, both those who spoke english and spanish. I am now home, and continue to share the gospel through small and simple acts every day.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I know that there is a prophet on the earth today. Prophets were leaders and guides in biblical times, and the Lord has always revealed His will for us through them. The questions that come to my mind is: why would He leave us without a guide on the earth today? Does He not love us just as much as He loved the people in olden times? Do we not need His help, support, and guidance more today than ever before? To me, it is plain as day: Heavenly Father still loves us and wants to guide us, and we most definitely do need His guidance today. There is a prophet on the earth today; I know it, because I have prayed and asked my Father, and He answered my prayer. Show more Show less
